Gates is a flawed character, and isn't the most compelling speaker, but I entirely agree with his push for greater preparedness (if AI proves to be The Future).
On the other hand, it also feels very like AI-is-inevitable Doomer Marketing. I imagine he's far better informed than I am, yet I still feel like true AGI is a long while away...
